Personal statement

My name is Samantha and I am 31 years old.

I previously worked as a Ward Support for 6 months amongst various different wards in the Whittington Hospital NHS Trust.    This included caring for the elderly after surgery or before surgery, helping them with daily tasks such as feeding, getting dressed, helping them to the toilet and back etc.    I also care for my mum from time to time, who has Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.    I help her with tasks such as getting dressed, getting shopping, paying bills, supporting her in tasks she needs help in, bathing and clothing, tidying up here house and making sure she takes her meds at the right time.    I am am a very compassionate, friendly, chatty, bubbly and confident person and I take great satisfaction in social work as I like to help people and be able to make a difference in people’s every day to day lives.    This gives me such personal joy.
