If you are feeling lonely or isolated Islington Bereavement Service can offer support and a listening ear for up to ten weeks. They will match you with a trained and experienced volunteer who will support you. You must live in Islington or be registered with an Islington GP. For more information call 020 3317 5774 or email


Usual Service:

We offer support for adults living in Islington who have experienced the death of a family member, relative or another important person in their life. Working within a Compassionate Communities  model our trained volunteers can offer practical, social and emotional bereavement support.

This is a volunteer-based, peer support and befriending service for people who do not feel that formal counselling is not appropriate for them.
