Families for Life Community Champion Programme
Families for Life (FFL) community champions programme
The programme offers FREE ONLINE AND FACE TO FACE TRAINING and ongoing support to become a Families for Life (FFL) community champion. Flexible opportunity to fit 2-3 hours volunteering around your weekly routine.
During the Covid-19 lockdown, healthy Lifestyle programmes & volunteer training are being run virtually via zoom or Microsoft Teams.
FFL community champions are inspirational volunteers who talk to other parents about healthy lifestyles and help them access services on offer within Islington, in particular Families for Life Programmes.
As a FFL community champion you will be in contact with families who have children aged 2 to 11 helping them to make healthy lifestyle choices so they can 'feel good and live well'. The programme will promote the benefits of eating healthy and being active.

The potential community champions will commit to attend a Families for Life/Family Kitchen course (if they have not attended a programme previously) to have a better knowledge and understanding of the healthy lifestyle programmes prior to attending five training sessions.
