Latin American Women's Rights Service
Latin American Women’s Rights Service (LAWRS) offers advice, advocacy, information and counselling services to Latin American women living in the UK. LAWRS provides information, casework support and advocacy on housing, money and debt, employment and access to welfare support. ESOL classes and targeted training is provided to enable women to achieve their potential. All services are free, confidential and in Spanish and Portuguese. A crèche facility is available for users with young children.
The service also provides a large programme on violence against women and girls (VAWG) which offers advice, advocacy and practical support for Latin American women who are experiencing or have experienced any form of violence.
LAWRS is part of Advising Islington Together and Pan London VAWG Consortium.
