Due to the current situation with Covid-19 all Remark clubs will be closed for the duration of 1 month. This is not a decision we have made lightly, however the safety of our members and of our staff is of paramount importance, and for that reason, this was the safest option.
This includes our Lunch clubs, Remarkable! Club, Youth Club, Badminton and our Football club – At this current time, we are still waiting for further information in regards to whether or not to suspend the Easter Playscheme.
Please rest assured that Remark! Community will still be there to support our members through this difficult period.
We are pleased to inform you that our Remark! Living team are still going ahead with their 1:1 support sessions - Should you have any more questions, regarding the Living! support service, please contact Johnathan Neal and Carly Wood:

Remark is a deaf led organisation. All Remark Living Support Workers are all very experienced and receive regular training and support. Every client referred to us is assessed and matched with our most suitable Support Worker, depending on their specific needs.
Additionally, we offer a child mentoring service to help children understand more about the deaf community and to help them integrate socially. We offer hearing families of deaf children half price BSL courses to help bridge communication.
Alongside Remark Living, we work with Remark Community a charity that offers families the chance to attend our established play scheme during school holidays. Our popular, fun filled days away create opportunities for children to meet other deaf/hard of hearing children and to have someone to familiarise themselves with. We have arranged some fantastic trips to Thorpe Park and a day out Zorbing!
We pride ourselves on provision for older people. It is well known that older people can often feel isolated which can lead to depression and a deterioration in health. To combat this Remark Living organises days out and lunch clubs to meet up other deaf/hard of hearing people, removing the need for interpreters and reliance on family members.
We provide specialist care to deaf people with specific needs - including those suffering from Usher Syndrome, which affects both hearing and vision. Our Carers are familiar with the condition and know best how to communicate ensuring full provision is made for the individual.
Remark Living is your complete support service solution. We offer individuals full support and remain a consistent partnership as long as our services are required.
When a client registers with Remark Living, we remove the expense of interpreter fees and we can arrange everything for you in one place.
