Complex Depression, Anxiety and Trauma Service (CDAT)
This service carries out assessments of the problems people are facing and what kinds of help may be useful. Then an individual treatment plan is formed. This will be discussed with a person and will include a list of the types of help that would be best suited for their needs. Consideration will be given as to whether any further help will be needed once a person is discharged.
The team are all experienced professionals who have been trained to provide a range of different types of help including psychological therapies. Treatment may involve individual or group therapy sessions. The types of help offered includes information and advice about mental health conditions, psychological therapies to help with symptoms, explanations about medication and support to help get employment or education.
