- How will you support my child?
Our setting welcomes children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) we are committed to working with parents and other professionals to provide an inclusive practice. We have a nominated SENCO who coordinates support and additional services for children with SEN. We work in partnership with the Area SENCO, speech and language therapist and other professionals. We use the Education Health Care plan (EHC) to identify where support is needed. This enables the child to progress in their learning. Some examples of activities and strategies we use to support children whilst at nursery are: Makaton signing, visual timetables, small social groups and we have a sensory room. We work in partnership with parents giving support, advice and make referrals.
