Emma Hall

20 years' experience working as a childminder and a total of 27 years' experience in the childcare sector. I am an NNEB qualified nursery nurse (Level 3) and have worked in nurseries and as a nanny before registering as a childminder in 2003.

I also work part time as a family support worker.

My home has a large, fully enclosed garden. I have a lovely, extremely patient cat. Children have access to the garden every day and we have lots of fun, outdoor learning opportunities.

We also go out every day to various places of interest including the park, the canal to feed the ducks, the farm and to stay and plays. We also have play dates with another local childminder.

I offer free childcare for eligible 2 year olds and also for 3 and 4 year olds. I have also worked with Care2Learn for young parents and I accept tax free childcare.

I am a mother of four, aged between 24 years and 12 years. As a childminder I have cared for babies from birth.

I have cared for children with special needs including working in a primary school nursery class with children with severe learning difficulties and with children with global development delay and autism spectrum disorder. I also have experience of working with vulnerable children and families and those affected by imprisonment.

Local Offer

How will you support my child?

My childminding setting welcomes children with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) and I am committed to working with parents and other professionals to provide good inclusive practice. My Islington Area SENCO provides me with support, advice and training regarding children with SEND. Parents are encouraged to speak to me about the needs of their child in order to assess and plan what is required.
