North London Cares
North London Cares brings people together across generations, backgrounds and experiences to build community and connection.
Our vision is of socially connected communities in which people feel less lonely, more united and that they belong.
We run free intergenerational social clubs across Islington and Camden boroughs that change each month and take place in different accessible venues. Each month we run over free 20 clubs, some online and some in-person, with new ones each month. We would also love to welcome new people. Over 65+ can just come along to the clubs. 18-64 yrs olds need to come along to an online or an in-person short induction.
We also run a friendship matching programme called Love Your Neighbour, set up to be mutually beneficial for all ages. This involves a home assessment and a DBS for the younger neighbour.
You can refer someone (with their consent) to our programmes and we will get in touch with them.
