Islington Safeguarding Children Partnership (ISCP)
The Islington Safeguarding Children Partnership (ISCP) is a multi-agency body responsible for ensuring that agencies work well together to safeguard and protect children and young people from harm, and improve their welfare and well-being.
What is Safeguarding?
Promoting the welfare, well-being and opportunities of children; agencies addressing children's needs at an early stage rather than when serious problems have developed; ensuring that risks of harm to children's welfare are minimised by protecting children from maltreatment, abuse or neglect; ensuring that every child has the opportunity to fulfil his/her potential; engaging the community in safeguarding children by raising community awareness and community involvement. This means increasing public awareness of risks to children and what measures can be taken to protect them.
For further information please see the ISCP website.
