Early Help Family Group Conference (FGC)

The Early Help Family Group Conference (FGC) Service provides independent FGC co-ordinators who work with families and professionals to bring them together in a decision making forum called a Family Group Conference (FGC).

The FGC ethos is around empowering children and their families. The emphasis is always on the child and their family and supporting them to make safe decisions.

FGCs focus on where support is within the young person's network and facilitating that network to make a positive contribution toward resolving the issues presented.

FGCs are held in Children's Centres or community venues. They can be held at a time convenient to the family e.g. evenings and Saturdays.

We are now also offering parental mediation for more information please see leaflet in downloads on the right.
