Little Haven Childcare

Little Haven is a lovely home-based childcare setting. We initially started out as childminders, however, due to high demand, we have developed into childcare on domestic premises. We have a fantastic team of people who work together really well to support and encourage the development of the children.

We are based over two levels with a baby room upstairs which is called the Caterpillar room and the 2 year old and pre-school room downstairs, which is called the Butterfly room.

We have a great routine which the children are really happy with. We like to explore our community and ensure the children are always visiting the library, museums, parks, Ecology Centre, farms, stay and plays. We most recently visited the Golden Hinde, an old ship in Tower Bridge, which was a huge success!

We have a Spanish teacher on site so the children are taught in English and Spanish and we also have a French teacher who comes in one morning a week to play, cook and speak to the children. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage and try to ensure that each child is fulfilling their potential. We have a nurturing and structured environment that supports the individuality of each child who comes to us.

We keep parents informed with a daily diary and a termly newsletter. The children also have learning journals which we complete quarterly. These include artwork and photos with observations. This enables the parent to see what their child has been up to over the term.
