Kith and Kids
Kith and Kids aim is to empower families living with disability: to provide support for the whole family; to seek information about, or help with educational, medical, or social issues; to organise weekend and holiday projects for our members; to ensure representation for families and individuals by recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers; to enable members to have a full social life by developing and supporting friendship schemes; to assist the development of similar groups; and actively to support social integration for our members with disabilities.
Kith and Kids is also running life-skill courses which include numeracy, literacy, cv writing and work experience training. These courses are for non members and are generally funded via social services or other support organisations.
