Leaping Lizards Day Nursery Ltd.
Leaping Lizards Day Nursery (in Tufnell Park, N19) provides full and part-time care for children aged 3 months to 5 years in a happy, secure, and stimulating environment.
With years of combined experience in the early years sector amongst our staff, we understand that nothing is more important than your child’s happiness, safety, and development. These are the foundations of our provision and approach and they are at the centre of everything we do.
Using the Early Years Foundation Stage as a framework to our curriculum, qualified and experienced staff help children to develop to their full potential and at a pace that suits them. Research shows that children learn best through play and so we plan fun and engaging activities designed to help children reach set goals and outcomes in the National Curriculum. We recognise that each child is unique and, working in close partnership with parents, set individual developmental plans specific to the needs and interests of each child.
We hope that this web site offers parents a good idea of Leaping Lizards’ philosophy and would be delighted to show you round the nursery

Local Offer
- How will you support my child?
At Leaping Lizards we ensure that all children have an equal opportunity to engage in the curriculum. We will provide a broad, balanced and appropriate statutory Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, which is accessible to the individual needs of all our children. Working in close partnership with parents, we will ensure that the individual needs of children are identified and assessed and we will provide appropriate support strategies through high quality targeted teaching.
Leaping Lizards has a commitment to inclusion. Embedded in our planning and provision of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is a shared understanding of the need to develop cultures, policies and practices that include all learners. We aim to engender a sense of community and belonging, and to offer new opportunities to learners who may have experienced previous difficulties.
Our manager is our SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and staff receive ongoing training in this area by the SENCO and by external trainers.
