Arts Award Summer School - Islington Mixtape

13 to 19 years. (If you are over 16 you do not need a HAF code and can book direct with the setting) Make friends, develop your art practice and have fun at Cubitt’s Institute of Anything. 

Spend eight days developing work and learning skills alongside artist Dunya Kalantery and Cubitt’s Education team. Together, you’ll explore how sound can be art through experimenting with sound and music, developing audio stories, writing poetry and spoken word, and making a collective mixtape. This will culminate in a live broadcast on Cubitt Community Radio on the last day of the project.

We’ll experience an art event together, share our skills, and think about our dream creative collaboration. You'll work towards an Arts Award Bronze, a nationally recognised qualification in the arts.

This project will be hosted by Lift Youth Hub, round the corner from Cubitt, and there will be some offsite visits, including to Cubitt. 

Institute of Anything is Cubitt's programme for 13-19 year olds. Young people work alongside contemporary artists, develop skills and make friends. It’s called Institute of Anything because anything is possible.
