Phone the Nursery School. It is popular and prioritises children on whether the child: is at risk or in need; has special educational needs; lives in Islington; lives close to the nursery; is the right age for the space available; has parents who are working or studying full-time. The nursery does not prioritise children because they have been on the waiting list for a long time or because they have a brother or sister at the school.

Our setting welcomes children with SEND and we are committed to working with parents and other professionals to provide good inclusive practice. Our Islington link Area SENCO provides us with support, advice and training regarding children with SEND
North Islington Nursery School and Children's Centre has a qualified teacher as the SENCO who has been working in the school for over 10 years.
We have staff who have been trained to support children using PECS, a range of medical needs including gastrostomy fed children and epilepsy.
Staff have experience of working with children with a range of needs. These have included children with Autism; visual and hearing impaired; those requiring additional language and communication support and other conditions such as CHARGE syndrome.
We run small, short and snappy language intervention groups for those children who have been identified as needing additional support with all areas of communication. We have a member of staff who has experience of leading and running an Attention Builders group.
We have a Clinical Psychologist linked to our school, a play therapist who works weekly with children who we have identified and we have good links with our family support workers.
Further SEND information can be found in North Islington Nursery's SEN Information Report.
