Coralie Manhes

I am a bilingual (French and English) former Head of Primary School and trained teacher with 20 years of experience working with EYFS and Primary-age children in London, Paris and New York. I have been Head of Primary School for the past 8 years but have now decided to become a childminder to welcome 2 children (aged 2 to 5) in my home alongside my 2 little girls aged 2 years old and 6 months. I will make sure your child feels safe, secure and cared for in our home. I love teaching both languages through play, songs, Montessori and sensory activities. Kids love it!

A typical day with us includes:

  • the security of an established routine (welcome time, circle time, story time, snacks, lunch, nap/quiet time, scheduled activities such as cooking, yoga, painting...)
  • the flexibility for fun educational play
  • planned activities to improve communication and language skills in French and English
  • the other EYFS areas of learning (literacy, numeracy, physical development, understanding the world, expressive arts and design and PSED)
  • outdoor sensory play in our garden (sand pit, water play, mud kitchen)
  • fun outings to local parks and activities
  • homemade meals and healthy snacks catered to any dietary needs
  • daily communication with parents
  • learning journey diary

I am Ofsted registered, have full training in Paediatric 1st aid and Safeguarding among others.

How will you support my child?

My childminding setting welcomes children with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) and I am committed to working with parents and other professionals to provide good inclusive practice. My Islington Area SENCO provides me with support, advice and training regarding children with SEND. Parents are encouraged to speak to me about the needs of their child in order to assess and plan what is required.
